US procedural Criminal Minds has been renewed for a 13th season.
The show has been airing since 2005, recently averaging 7.47 million viewers down from over 9 million last season. It rises to 11.04m with PVR viewing.
Criminal Minds has also gone through a number of cast changes this season, including the firing of long-time star Thomas Gibson before the season began. Former cast member Paget Brewster returned, Aisha Tyler was bumped up from recurring guest star to regular, and Adam Rodriguez and Damon Gupton joined the BAU team.
All of them are expected to return next season, along with Joe Mantegna, A.J. Cook, Matthew Gray Gubler and Kirsten Vangsness.
Criminal Minds screens in Australia on Seven.

Hey David, what about NCIS, its been on CBS longer than Criminal Minds.
It started in 2003 and is already on S14. NCIS being a spin-off from JAG and the characters first appeared in JAG S08E20 Ice Queen, dated 22/4/2003.
