Axed: 2 Broke Girls, Son of Zorn.

Diner sitcom ends with 6 seasons.

US sitcom 2 Broke Girls has been axed after 6 seasons.

The series, starring Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs as waitresses at in a Brooklyn diner, averaged 7 million viewers per episode, during its sixth season.

The landscape for multicam comedies is not promising with Last Man Standing, Dr. Ken axed and The Odd Couple and The Great Indoors, starring Joel McHale, poised for cancellation.

That leaves The Big Bang Theory, Mom, Man With a Plan, Kevin Can Wait and Superior Donuts as the only multicamera half-hours in the US.

2 Broke Girls aired in Australia on Nine.

Meanwhile animated / live action series Son of Zorn will fight no more epic battles, ending at just 13 episodes. It aired in Australia on ELEVEN.

  1. ‘2 Broke Girls’ had to be one of the great wastes of talent in an appallingly poorly written series-how it lasted 6 seasons is baffling.
