Good news for one showbiz veteran Bert Newton, who was released from hospital yesterday, grateful for messages of support, imparting humour and a comment on the Logies too.

Meanwhile Marty Fields last night indicated little change for mum Val Jellay in intensive care.

Update: Mum is still fighting but there's been little change. They're making sure she's comfortable.
