House Rules, War on Waste score on Tuesday.

Ratings: Domestic-themed TV pulls in the crowd, and trains are still tops with SBS.

House Rules topped the ratings in total people and demos once again with 1.15m viewers, with MasterChef second in its slot with 874,000 and Britain’s Got Talent in third with 642,000 viewers.

ABC’s War on Waste had another timeslot win in its last outing (another is expected later this year) at 770,000 viewers, beating the commercial networks’ 8:40pm offerings Seven Year Switch, NCIS and Love Child -numbers for the latter are concerning, under 500,000. Ask The Doctor also lifted for ABC at 8pm.

Seven News and ACA remained winners.

Seven network won Tuesday with 30.5% then Nine 23.7%, TEN 21.9%, ABC 17.8% and SBS 6.0%.

House Rules (1.15m ) was #1 for Seven then Seven News (1.13m / 1.08m), Home and Away (783,000), The Chase (701,000 / 439,000), Seven Year Switch (649,000) and Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares (339,000).

Nine News (1.05m / 1.03m) led for Nine then A Current Affair (873,000), Britain’s Got Talent (642,000), Hot Seat (575,000 / 340,000) and Love Child (473,000). Operation Thailand drew 236,000.

MasterChef Australia (874,000) was best for TEN then The Project (627,000 / 405,000), NCIS (551,000), TEN Eyewitness News (520,000), Family Feud (403,000) and NCIS: LA (339,000).

ABC News (790,000) led for ABC then War on Waste (770,000), 7:30 (586,000), Ask the Doctor (534,000), Foreign Correspondent (457,000) and Grand Designs (307,000).

On SBS it was Great Continental Railway Journeys (291,000), Insight (205,000), SBS World News (142,000) and Dateline (121,000).

Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom ruled all of multichanneland with 227,000.

  1. I watched the Railways….even though I have seen it before…keep picking up different things……..Then Insight and Dateline….I was on TEN from 5PM until 7.30PM…
    And I have just now. watched Grand Designs and who would have thought a show like this would have me in tears at the end…that was a surprise.
