Richo returns to SKY News, Peta Credlin to anchor own show.

Graham Richardson returning to Wednesdays will see a number of changes to the SKY primetime schedule.

Graham Richardson returns to SKY News on Wednesday following his recovery from surgery.

His return to Wednesday nights will see a number of changes to the primetime schedule for Peta Credlin, Alan Jones, Kristina Keneally and Beattie & Reith.

SKY News also confirmed plans for a new program to be anchored by Peta Credlin, with further details to be announced later in 2017.

Angelos Frangopoulos, Australian News Channel CEO said: “Richo has been working his way back to a full on-air workload since undergoing life-saving surgery more than a year ago. He is an outstanding commentator and we’re delighted to see him back on Wednesday nights.”

Peta Credlin joins Alan Jones as co-host on Jones & Co, Tuesdays at 8:00pm. Two of Australia’s most prominent and influential commentators, Alan and Peta will bring viewers powerful analysis, lively discussion and guests from across the political spectrum.

With Richo’s return to Wednesday nights, Credlin Keneally goes into recess as Kristina Keneally steps up to a bigger role on SKY News daytime, anchoring Live coverage from Canberra during sitting weeks alongside Peter van Onselen.

Former Queensland Premier Campbell Newman will join Peter Beattie each week on Beattie & Reith, Mondays at 8:00pm while Peter Reith continues his recovery. The SKY News team wish him a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him back in the studio soon.

  1. ‘Richo’ has actually been already airing on Friday nights since February.

A shame to see a program with 2 female hosts departing, although good to see they are both staying with the channel elsewhere. Peter McGauran had been filling in for Peter Reith for months, so seems a bit odd to dump him for Campbell Newman.
