Too soon? American Idol mulling comeback
We're not quite ready to be going to Hollywood so soon.

It only left screens a year ago but American Idol is already eyeing a comeback (which was expected, but really…. so soon?).
There is speculation ABC may announce the show at its Upfronts this month. Hollywood Reporter notes while NBC is out of contention, original network FOX is even still in the mix.
There’s no word on whether any of the previous judges nor host Ryan Seacrest would be involved. Seacrest recently relocated to New York to co-host Live with Kelly.
Show creator Simon Fuller has previously said of the format, “There are loads of ideas being shared, and I’m deep in thought about how we can evolve Idol.
“We debuted at the very beginning of the digital world. So the next generation of Idol will be a lot more interactive, a lot more immersive.”
Returning so soon would arguably make this the same generation, not a new one.
ABC’s Upfronts are May 16 stateside if you just happen to be countin’ the sleeps.

I still think Idol is the best but they have to jettison the bad auditions. Just focus on the quality.
I disagree. The last few seasons of American Idol,The X Factor and The Voice have all scaled back if not ditched completely the bad auditions and I think the loss of them resulted in these shows losing the humour that made them hits in the first place. They all started taking themselves too seriously and it resulted in wide spread cancellations. Bring back the cray I say.
