James Corden remains upbeat for live London shows

"This is not a country that feels afraid," a defiant James Corden tells viewers.

An upbeat James Corden has put on a determined face for his Late Late Show broadcasts Live from London this week.

Corden told viewers his staff had been staying at a hotel just minutes from the site of the weekend attacks, but “This is not a country that feels afraid.”

“Some people might say it’s a strange time to do a variety show from this city. I couldn’t disagree more,” he continued. “We want the stupidest, most fun-packed shows we’ve ever made for you to celebrate London and Britain and everything it has to offer, and you know what? The people who carried out that attack would hate that.”

The first of Corden’s 3 London shows screens on ELEVEN tonight at 11:30pm.
