The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings pop-up channel

Six movies will screen across the weekend of July 7 to July 10.

The next pop-up channel from Foxtel Movies will feature the six Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings movies from 6.00am on Friday, July 7 through to Monday, July 10.

The four-day movie marathon will launch on channel 400 with The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and will run through to The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012)
Accompanied by thirteen dwarves, Bilbo Baggins is swept into an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor from the fearsome dragon Smaug.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (2013)
Join Bilbo Baggins as he journeys with the Wizard Gandalf and thirteen Dwarves, led by Thorin Oakenshield, on an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (2014)
A deadly force is unleashed into the world as legions of Orcs begin to attack Lonely Mountain. A battle for the future of Middle-earth rages as Bilbo and his friends fight for their lives.

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)
A hobbit inherits a magic ring with the power to enslave Middle-earth and must reach Mordor destroy it

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002)
Frodo the hobbit continues his perilous journey to destroy the magic ring. A fellowship bands together to support him.

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)
The final battle for Middle-earth is near as Frodo and Sam approach Mount Doom to destroy the magic ring.
