Qld v SA in House Rules grand final

WA twins Andrew and Jono were last night eliminated from Seven's competition.

Queenslanders Aaron and Daniella and South Australians Kate and Harry were last night locked in as the grand finalists for House Rules 2017 after WA twins Andrew and Jono were eliminated from the competition.

Kate and Harry received a perfect score of 30/30 with the help of their bonus point. Aaron and Daniella scored an eight across the board after successfully implementing judge Wendy Moore’s “art deco” house rule.

But Andrew and Jono were knocked out of the competition after delivering a “soulless” lounge-room which failed to impress the judges.

“We are really proud of what we have achieved, we’ve come a long way since the beginning… having not done anything like this before I’m proud of what we have accomplished in this whole competition,” said Andrew.

Team SA and Team QLD will now battle it out for this year’s $200,000 prize -previously a mortgage pay-off.

Harry said: “It is an unbelievable feeling to be in the Grand Final. It makes being away from our boy worth it. We’ll be leaving no stone unturned to bring home the win,”

Kate added: “We can’t believe on top of our beautifully renovated home, we now have a one in two chance of winning $200,000. It doesn’t get much better than that!”

Aaron said: “We have worked so hard to get to the Grand Final, now it just seems amazing to have a chance at winning the $200,000. What an experience, it has changed our lives in so many ways.”

Daniella added: “We are so grateful to have a fully renovated home and to now be in the Grand Final, it’s an incredible feeling.”

The grand final airs Sunday July 9th at 7:00pm.
