Screen Aus manager joins Create NSW

Sally Regan will lead the team responsible for funding decisions in screen development & production.

Screen Australia manager and producer Sally Regan is joining Create NSW as Senior Manager, Sector Investment (Screen).

At Create NSW she will lead and manage the team responsible for funding decisions in screen development and production.

Regan has over 30 years experience working in the screen production sector. She has produced film and television in Australia, Europe, Asia and America and has, for the past five years, been a Drama Investment Manager at Screen Australia.

Create NSW Director of Sector Investment, Sophia Zachariou, said, “Sally is highly regarded for her expertise and professionalism across the screen sector and she brings considerable experience both in screen agencies and as a producer to this senior role at Create NSW. I’m thrilled she’s joining us.”

She begins next month.

Previously Ms Regan worked as a Development and Production Executive at Screen NSW working across documentary, features and television drama and she was, from 1999 to 2003, Business Affairs Manager of Documentary Production at Film Australia, responsible for over production of over $6 million a year.

Her producer credits include the multi-award winning theatrical feature documentary thriller Forbidden Lie$ and she also co-produced the international Russell Crowe-featured series The Colour Of War, and produced the ABC documentaries National Treasures, Korean ANZAC, Peter Berner’s Loaded Brush, Road To Tokyo and Nerves of Steel, amongst others.

In 2007 Ms Regan was awarded The Screen Producers Association Independent Documentary Producer of the Year Award and she was also awarded the Kenneth Myer Fellowship upon graduation from the Australian Film Television and Radio School (BA 1994).
