Ratings: Last week public broadcasters proved you can still pull a crowd with a serious topic.

Serious themes proved to be winners for ABC and SBS last week with a Four Corners look into retirement villages and SBS immersive Filthy Rich & Homeless helping to drive ratings share.
Four Corners was ABC’s top title of the week, while Filthy Rich & Homeless pushed SBS share into double figures on Thursday.
But the week again went to Seven, winning in Melbourne, Adelaide & Perth while Nine owned Sydney & Brissy. Meanwhile TEN improved its share over the preceding week.

Seven led on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday & Saturday. Nine topped Wednesday and Thursday. ABC bettered TEN on Saturday.

Nine: Nine News (Sun: 1.23m), True Story with Hamish & Andy (992,000), The Voice (949,000) and A Current Affair (815,000).
TEN: MasterChef Australia (Wed: 904,000), Have You Been Paying Attention? (811,000), Shark Tank (737,000) and Offspring (711,000).

This year is getting boring to follow.
I want to see Nine or Ten take out a week (the latter very nearly did in MasterChef final week last year).
Seven’s multi-channels are powerful.
7flix & 9Life went down.
A good week for ONE though!
The 4 Corners story was excellent and between Filthy Rich and Homeless, The Chef Line and Eurovision, SBS has been extremely impressive this year.
