Russell Gilbert: “Tinderella”

Much-loved comedian Russell Gilbert has released a music video as a way to reconnect with his many fans.

Much-loved comedian Russell Gilbert has recently released a music video on YouTube, Tinderella as a way of reconnecting with his many fans.

‘Gilbo’, who suffered personal tragedies in 2015, wrote and recorded the track 2 years ago with Rogue Traders’ Cameron McGlinchey and Tim Henwood. Writer / performer Andrew Maj directed and produced the clip.

“A few days after we filmed the main part of the clip, Russell’s partner Rochelle died. Russell then had operation for aneurism and the stroke,” Maj explains.

“I left the project alone, but he has been keen all of this year to push ahead and finish. He rang me every week at one stage!

“Thus we shot a couple of short bits recently and I did a re-edit. Russ was very keen and even sat in on an editing session.”

Maj advises Gilbo is doing well in his rehab but although he is not up to performing or interviews he is keen to re-connect with his fans.

“It’s the only thing I’ve worked at for the last couple of years,” said Gilbert. “I’m really happy for people to see it, to get something out, and see how it goes from there.”

Best wishes, Gilbo!
