With them being about 15 episodes behind when it will air next year, i doubt they will catch up ’til the season final.

Dont forget the US mid-season break is coming, and 7 will air DH, Greys etc after the tennis, so they will want to ensure enough new episodes in their bag to catch up until the US series resumes.

np Luca. I think the reason they don’t fast-track it is because Seven usually like to hold over its more female-oriented shows until the next year. This is why they also are holding over Desperate Housewives, Grey’s Anatomy, Brothers & Sisters, etc. Another unfortunate reason is because it wasn’t rating all that well, both it and Lipstick Jungle consistently ailed in their timeslots earlier in the year.

Seven finished airing all of season 1, which was only 9 eps due to the writers’ strike. Season 2 might not air until next yr, although it might pop up in the summer if you’re lucky

I love Smallvile too, and prefer to watch on dvd, then I can get continuity of the season.

Dumb of them to put it (“Smallville”) on HD because people like me can’t see it. Although a plus is I see them on DVD. But the minus is much later than the U.S. so I get spoiled if I go to a Superman related site. Although with season 8 if they ever decided to put it on SD or analogue then I hope they wait a week after the DVD release. Because I need to catch up. I’ll admit I think it’s about as likely they’d put it on as “Torchwood” (another show they screwed). Which is Buckley’s. Oh well DVD it is then.

well there are 5 episodes left of battlestar galactica before ten runs out and has to wait for more from the US next year. so i’m hoping this means they will bring back smallville and show us the first half of it’s season as well. 10HD seems to want a strong show for the 8:30 slot on sci-fi thursday so unless they have something else in mind that i haven’t thought of it looks like a good and logical move. from what i see on imdb they seem to plan on putting out 11 episodes of smallville before they take their mid-season break; which should see us through right till the end of january, at which point there should be more battlestar galactica again hopefully. sounds like a good plan to me, but will ten do it?
