David Wenham stars in Killing Time
David Wenham has been cast as fallen lawyer Andrew Fraser in TV1’s miniseries Killing Time.
The 10 part drama follows the life of the high-flying lawyer who came crashing to earth with cocaine addiction, being disbarred and imprisoned.
The series, to be produced by FremantleMedia Australia, is the most ambitious project ever undertaken by TV1.

Killing Time, next year’s 10 part drama on the life of disgraced Melbourne lawyer Andrew Fraser (pictured), will be the biggest undertaking yet by TV1.

TV1 and FremantleMedia Australia are joining forces for Killing Time, a new 10 part crime drama series based on the true story of disgraced lawyer Andrew Fraser.
In a statement, FMA said, “The series follows the story of Andrew Fraser’s rise from small time lawyer to successfully defending the most infamous criminals this country has ever seen, and then his ultimate downfall and imprisonment for five years in maximum security. Underbelly begins filming its third series in Sydney tomorrow.

Ratings: TEN takes second, Nine drops to third
Seven may have won the week again, but it was the might of TEN that was the real news story. It took out second place and pushed the Nine Network to a demoralising third position. MasterChef Australia powered TEN to its best survey week for the year.
Seven won the week with 27.0% ahead of TEN’s 25.8% and Nine’s 25.2%. The ABC had 17.1% and SBS 5.0%.

MasterChef nudges 2 million
Nearly two million viewers tuned into MasterChef Australia last night, a new record for the TEN reality series.
1.96m viewers watched as seven aspiring chefs cooked prawns and nuts -an idea which on paper sounds like it would never work. But the series is surging, and doing exactly what producers want at this point of its life: building towards the finale.
MasterChef thrashed its rivals 60 Minutes (a still healthy 1.43m) and Border Security USA / The Force (909,000 / 974,000 -neither aired in Adelaide due to AFL).
