Panic stations as TEN dumps more shows
It’s ‘Panic Stations” at Network TEN this summer as another raft of shows gets the chop from its schedules.
Rules of Engagement, Don’t Forget the Lyrics, Glee (repeats) have been dumped -even the extra 30 minutes of The 7PM Project has been ditched from Fridays, despite the network promising longer episodes through summer.
In their place are more Accidentally on Purpose, repeats of Malcolm in the Middle, new Simpsons and movies.
TEN’s trigger-happy programming follows it cutting Supernatural, Stargate Universe and a number of other shows.

TEN will hold over Accidentally on Purpose and The Office tonight to run an Oprah episode “Christmas At The White House.”
“In this hour-long special, Oprah will usher in the holidays at the White House, visiting President Obama & the First Lady as they prepare for their family’s first Christmas there. Oprah will also sit down with the First Couple, for an exclusive interview.”
Both US sitcoms remain in schedule on Thursday as well as returning next Tuesday.

Survivor: It’s double Samoa
Survivor fans really need to be on alert lately, with extra episodes and amendments proving to be their own Survivor Challenge.
Updated: But it’s good news for them with a double episode slated for 7:30pm Tuesday December 15. Continues in doubles Dec 22.
If Nine keeps up the double eps through summer it might minimise damaging leaks about the winner, given the season is currently airing in the US.
On Tuesday it took 788,000 third in its slot behind The 7:30 Report and Accidentally on Purpose.

It’s now moved it back to follow on from the late night run of The 7PM Project.
From Monday November 30 the rule of thumb will now be:

Supernatural back for TEN’s summer
New episodes of Supernatural, The Office, Numb3rs, Law and Order, Californication, Glee and Futurama are coming to TEN over summer.
The network has revealed its first week of programming for the non-ratings season, beginning November 29th.
It will premiere Family Guy spin-off, The Cleveland Show and launch new Jenna Elfman comedy Accidentally on Purpose.
White Collar, which premieres on November 25th, continues.
It will also repeat The Simpsons, Merlin, Little Britain USA, Bondi Vet, Lie to Me, Rules of Engagement, Law and Order: CI.

More US castings will see new roles for Jennifer Beals, Mary McDonnell, Chris Noth, Eric McCormack and Grant Show.
EW reports former Battlestar lead McDonnell is joining TNT’s The Closer for a multi-episode arc as a police captain who butts heads with Kyra Sedgwick. McDonnell’s alter ego, Capt. Christina Hatcher, runs the department’s Force Investigation Division and is slated to debut early into The Closer’s forthcoming fifth season in the US.
