Victoria at risk of losing Logies
More speculation that the Logies may be on the move today with the Brumby Government’s major events unit, The Victorian Major Events Company, reportedly being asked to belatedly consider backing TV’s night of nights.
VMEC already supports sports and arts events including the Australian Grand Prix, AFL finals series, Spring Racing Carnival, Australian Masters (golf), Melbourne Fashion Week, Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
Nine and TV Week have been considering what is believed to be a tempting incentive from Queensland Events, the Queensland Government’s major events …

He said the girl scratched his face and then continued her rampage when the live cross was cut, roughly pushing a singing teacher in the head, then punching another woman attached to the choir before running off.
“The girl was absolutely wild-eyed and physical and just …

As they went into Saturday night Seven and Nine were a dead heat. It was a chance for Nine to win its second week of the ratings year. But it was not to be.

TEN wins Sunday
Network TEN has won its second night of ratings this year, thanks to a big push from the 2009 Australian Grand Prix. The twilight event helped push the race into primetime, something networks have long desired of the AFL Grand Final.
It follows the network winning last Thursday, when the Richmond v Carlton match helped it win the night. On the back of its launch for ONE, sport looks a winner with the TEN audience.
