The cancelled list
As the US Fall Season nears it’s time to take stock of the shows in the US that are not moving forward (including two Aussie adaptations).
Whilst many of us are up to speed on most of these, sometimes one or two escape out attention, and others kinda never get cancelled but remain in permanent hiatus.
For the record here is the list of those that are no more:
ABC has cancelled Cupid, Dirty Sexy Money, Eli Stone, In the Motherhood, Kyle XY, Life on Mars, Pushing Daisies, Samantha Who, Surviving Suburbia, and The …
Gone: Crusoe
Another programming amendment from Nine indicates it has changed plans to premiere Crusoe next Saturday.
The US family adventure was originally due to screen in double eps.
At the risk of highlighting Nine’s erratic programming / indecision / secrecy or commercial in confidence manouvering, there is currently no replacement for the show yet.
That also means print schedules are effectively out the window… still most networks don’t let that get in the way of aggressive programming.
Airdate: Crusoe
Nine launches the US family adventure series, Crusoe this month.

The series premiered in the US last October but after a disappointing reception did not survive past 13 episodes.
After he’s shipwrecked, Robinson Crusoe and his companion Friday face the adventures and challenges of life on a deserted island in this action-packed television series based on Daniel Defoe’s classic novel. The only thing keeping Crusoe sane is the …

Late last year, the Nine Network told its advertisers that a raft of new shows would air in the first quarter of 2009. But a number of the titles on the list still remain unaired.
Gathering dust on the Nine shelves, and promised for the first quarter, are:
Sea Patrol
Crusoe
Local Heroes
For Richer for Poorer
What’s Good For You
Who Do You Think You Are? (US)
When I Grow Up
Without a Trace
This mirrors a similar list at the end of 2007 …
Nine’s “first quarter” in ‘09
Underbelly: A Tale of Two Cities, Wipeout Australia, Aussie Ladette to Lady, Sea Patrol, Flashpoint, Crusoe (pictured) and Local Heroes are some of the shows Nine intends to air in the ‘first quarter’ of 2009.
Also due early in the new television year are the Jules Lund-hosted For Richer For Poorer, which seeks to find the perfectly wedded couple. Amongst the contestants on this show are a gay male couple.
What’s Good For You is back, now with new host Dr Andrew Rochford (The Waiting Room).
Also in the first quarter Nine will also screen …
