New pilots from Josh Schwartz, Greg Berlanti.
Prolific writer Josh Schwartz (The OC, Chuck, Gossip Girl) has another pilot added to his CV with CBS picking up a comedy, Hitched, which centres on a young twentysomething couple that are newlyweds while still getting to know each other.
The multi-camera comedy will be co-written by Matt Miller for CBS.
CBS has also picked up an untitled multicam sitcom pilot about a widower who must juggle raising his 12 year-old son while also getting back into the dating world by Tad Quill (writer Dirty Sexy Money, Scrubs). One and a half men …

Eli Stone to sing on Seven’s summer
Seven will finally premiere Eli Stone in Australia as part of its summer line-up.
The US drama by Greg Berlanti (Brothers and Sisters, Dirty Sexy Money, Everwood) features Jonny Lee Miller as an attorney with an inoperable brain aneurysm -and a bit of a fixation with the catalogue of George Michael. Each episode is named after a Michael song, and the pop star even makes an appearance during one of the fantasy sequences, incorporated as one of Stone’s hallucinations.
Seven will also premiere British crime drama Holby Blue and (gasp) American Gladiators.

Greg Berlanti Returns with sci fi
Greg Berlanti (Brothers and Sisters, Dirty Sexy Money, Eli Stone, Everwood, Dawson’s Creek) is developing a sci-fi project with writer Rene Echevarria for the ABC network.
Berlanti and Echevarria are behind The Return, which revolves around the impact on the world, including the White House, when aliens land.
Echevarria has written for Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and executive produced The 4400 and Dark Angel. His other credits include Medium and Now and Again.
Both Berlanti and Echevarria are both on board as exec producers on The Return.
