King of the Hill to end
The FOX network has decided animated comedy King of the Hill will not proceed beyond its current 13th season.
But the news is no big surprise given Greg Daniels and Mike Judge have moved on to other projects, and FOX is developing new animated comedies, including one based on Aussie sitcom Sit Down Shut Up.
Daniels is behind The Office, while Judge has The Goode Family, launching on ABC in midseason.
The Texas-based series which began life in 1997 was voiced by Judge, Kathy Najimy, Pamela Adlon, Brittany Murphy, Tom Petty, Toby Huss, Johnny …
Foxtel’s Family Guy too hot for ‘PG’
An episode of Family Guy screened by Foxtel has been found to have breach pay TV’s Code of Practice, says the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA).
ACMA found an episode which contained a scene in which the Grim Reaper has sex with a dead girl in the back seat of a car was incorrectly classified as PG. “Death is a bitch” should have warranted an M classification with its sexual references and depictions of violence.

There are more changes for Seven scheduling this week, once again built around AFL finals and the league’s movable feast of time and match details.
Although American Dad is again out of schedule, Seven has taken steps to address its absence, by slating a Friday edition of the first episode bumped by AFL finals, “Haylias” (see, they do hear you!).

As a result the soapie will have a double episode screening at Thursday night.
Make Me a Supermodel will air at 8pm and Ghost Whisperer at 9pm.
But something has had to give which is American Dad, now out of schedule.
