‘Junglist’ ready to move on
The latest instalment in the war that has become Good Game’s fallout with presenter Jeremy ‘Junglist’ Ray, sees the former co-host sticking to his guns, but attempting to smooth the waters too.
In an interview with ABC Online he maintains he was told that he was going to be replaced by a woman because the ABC wanted the video gaming show to garner “mass appeal”.
“There were comments made in that meeting that it would be great if the audience assumed, seeing as there is only four or five weeks left in the …
All the drama of Week 44
In Week 44 viewers bid farewell to All Saints after 12 seasons across 11 years. The 70 minute episode ensured the show departed with its reputation intact and possibly signalled the end of an era of long running weekly dramas. It finished on 1.5m viewers -time will tell if Packed to the Rafters ever comes close to its legacy. Seven, which has been top-heavy in local drama with an embarrassment of riches, won the week and with the introduction of 7TWO today may have ended a winning run by the Nine …
ABC: Good Gamer “made life difficult”
ABC TV has issued a further statement in the light of the online feud that has spilled out from behind ABC2’s Good Game.
It denies statements made by Jeremy ‘Junglist’ Ray (pictured, left) that he was replaced because of gender and blames his behind the scenes performance allegedly making life “difficult for the rest of the team.”
Ray made comment on the Good Game message board following a joint statement issued by the members of the team that he has been replaced was because “they wanted a girl on the show.”

On Monday Amanda Duthie, Head of Arts and Entertainment told TV Tonight, “After three years, we felt Good Game needed a refresh to take the program into 2010 and beyond, and the decision was made to change the hosting team.”
This week fans of the show have rallied behind …

ABC2 down to The Wire
Marena Manzoufas isn’t a name that’s as well known as David Mott, Tim Worner or Michael Healy but it’s no less integral to our television viewing.
Manzoufas is Head of Programming for the ABC, a position she has held for the last 8 years. In the first of a rare two-part interview with TV Tonight, she talks about her approaches to ABC1 and ABC2, and the role of the public broadcaster.
