Spin-off city
Last night NCIS: Los Angeles had its Aussie debut, and more spin-offs are on the drawing board in the US.
CBS is planning a spinoff from Criminal Minds, expected to feature a new team of FBI agents.
The show’s executive producer Chris Mundy will be writing the spinoff, which will air as an episode of Criminal Minds next year.
Meanwhile the History Channel is making Extreme Trucking, which takes the Ice Road Truckers format to locations worldwide where truckers navigate hazardous highways.

Airdate: Thursday Night AFL
Next Thursday Feb 26th TEN has an AFL pre-season match between Collingwood and Richmond to air delayed at 8:30pm (Melb).
This means Law and Order: SVU and Life on Mars are out for the night but the latter is replaced with two episodes at 9:30pm / 10:30pm on March 5th (until they decide that’s a waste and change it again).
In other network changes, TEN has back-tracked on plans for Ice Road Truckers (again) replaced with films on Saturday 28th with Center Stage, then Kiss the Girls. It is still in schedule for …
Returning: Ice Road Truckers
Canadian factual series Ice Road Truckers returns to TEN this Saturday night with the episode “Driving on Thin Ice.”
Up in Yellowknife, these truckers have to drive enormous semis on a 350-mile long highway of ice.
In extreme cold conditions, they haul equipment and supplies to miners in the Canadian tundra in the dead of winter. It’s a perilous mission that can go wrong at any moment. It’s dramatically-told documentary TV.
TEN showed a few episodes last year but pulled it from schedule.
It returns 6:30pm Saturday February 21.
Scheduling on thin ice….
Mark it down as change #87 to the TEN summer schedule.
The Wedge is to be pulled from schedule…. sorta….
It’s back for just one night on Saturday December 6th and replaced a week later with a repeat of Ice Road Truckers. Hard to know why it was back in the first place.
The name of the Canadian truckies’ episode is the aptly titled, “Driving on Thin Ice.” Which kinda sums up TEN’s approach to its summer schedule.
Even TV Tonight is pretty confused as to what the hell is on when.
90210 on Monday, then Sunday.
Updated: See new schedule below.
90210 will air as a Sunday 7:30pm show for summer.
“Hollywood Forever”, the seventh episode in the series screens on Sunday November 30th, but it follows the show returning next week on Monday night. We’re haven’t even started summer and already shows are moving nights…
TEN’s first week of summer will also include the return of America’s Next Top Model, Don’t Forget the Lyrics, Orange Roughies and Big Cat Diary. Meanwhile, Neighbours, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Out of the Blue and The Office continue.
Army Wives, featuring Kim …
