Killing Time or killing the element of risk?
FremantleMedia Australia’s Jason Stephens has spoken again about the Killing Time miniseries, which is coming to TV1.
Stephens tells Encore Magazine that the freedom of Pay TV is the way of the future.

David Wenham stars in Killing Time
David Wenham has been cast as fallen lawyer Andrew Fraser in TV1’s miniseries Killing Time.
The 10 part drama follows the life of the high-flying lawyer who came crashing to earth with cocaine addiction, being disbarred and imprisoned.
The series, to be produced by FremantleMedia Australia, is the most ambitious project ever undertaken by TV1.

Killing Time, next year’s 10 part drama on the life of disgraced Melbourne lawyer Andrew Fraser (pictured), will be the biggest undertaking yet by TV1.
Re-telling the life of a high-flying lawyer who came crashing to earth with cocaine addiction, being disbarred and imprisoned, the story will be produced by FremantleMedia. Funding approvals for documentaries
A number of documentaries have been approved for funding by Screen Australia, set to screen on ABC and the History Channel. They include a second series of Anatomy, a doco on the Wood Royal Commission, a profile on Justice Michael Kirby (pictured) and another on Father Peter Kennedy-the first Catholic priest ever to be sacked in Australia.

Killing Time drama series for TV1
TV1 and FremantleMedia Australia are joining forces for Killing Time, a new 10 part crime drama series based on the true story of disgraced lawyer Andrew Fraser.
In a statement, FMA said, “The series follows the story of Andrew Fraser’s rise from small time lawyer to successfully defending the most infamous criminals this country has ever seen, and then his ultimate downfall and imprisonment for five years in maximum security. Seven in Killing Time crime drama
The Age has reported that Channel Seven is developing a true-crime drama about Melbourne’s criminal underworld.
The project, tentatively titled Killing Time, will be based on a book by Melbourne criminal lawyer Andrew Fraser, Court in the Middle: A True Story of Cocaine, Police, Corruption and Prison.
It deals with Fraser’s fall from grace and his time defending such high-profile clients as Jason Moran, Lewis Moran and Victor Pierce.
