Charley Boorman for Sydney Motorcycle Show
Long Way Down’s Charley Boorman will be appearing at the Sydney Motorcycle Show on Sunday November 22nd.
Boorman began his last series By Any Means 2 from Sydney in May which took him through Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, the Phillipines and Taiwan before finishing in Japan. He used quad bikes, wooden scooters, motorbikes, hovercrafts and paragliders.
He will will appear on stage from 12.30pm on Sunday November 22nd, followed by book signings of Right to the Edge: Sydney to Tokyo By Any Means.

FOX reality shutdown leaves Lyle looking.
Australian expat, David Lyle, is in discussions with News Corporation following the media giant’s decision to shut down the FOX Reality Channel.
Lyle is a former television executive at Nine and was previously presenter of the nostalgic series The Golden Years of Television for both Nine and TEN.
According to the Wrap website, which first wrote about the shutdown, a complete rebranding of the channel is in the works, and may include a new partner outside the Fox Cable Networks group.

Australia or bust
Charley Boorman, currently appearing in Long Way Down on SBS, has completed a new six part travel series which sees him visit Australia.
Produced for National Geographic, By Any Means sees Boorman navigating a 32,000-kilometre journey from Ireland to Australia using any means of transport but avoiding air travel wherever possible. So he hitches rides on trains, tuk-tuks, rickshaws, handmade boats and an elephant.
Charley says reaching Darwin was worth the wait though. “It’s got a pretty good night life. I left Darwin with a hang over.”

Carla Cametti PD tops SBS summer
The summer schedules keep coming. SBS has Carla Cametti PD, new Top Gear (UK), Inspector Rex, Food Safari, Iron Chef, Tour Down Under and Dakkar Rally.
Carla Cametti PD features Diana Glenn (Satisfaction) as a cop from a family riddled with gangsters. Ironically, Vince Colosimo this time plays a detective seconded to curb Melbourne’s burgeoning gangland activity.
While some of the shows were already flagged for summer by SBS some weeks ago, we now have definitive times.
