ABC acquires FM, Boy Meets Girl from ITV
The ABC has picked up more than 40 hours of drama from ITV for broadcast on ABC 1 and ABC 2 later this year.
The deal includes the ITV Studios comedy-drama series Boy Meets Girl, starring Martin Freeman (The Office), as well as FM, which stars Chris O’Dowd (The IT Crowd) and comedian Kevin Bishop. The show features music from up and coming artists and also guest stars from the music industry.

Who teaser: Waters of Mars
“Water always wins,” says the Doctor.
And water will no doubt feature a lot in the next Doctor Who special to air in the UK supposedly around November.
“Waters of Mars” features Lindsay Duncan (Lost in Austen, Agatha Christie’s Poirot, Spooks) as the Doctor’s companion Adelaide, said to be the Doctor’s cleverest and most strong-minded companion yet.

Next month ABC screens the first of its slightly twisted period series Lost in Austen.
Jemima Rooper (Sinchronicity, Hex, As If) plays a young woman who finds herself swept away to the land of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice.
It also features Hollywood actress Alex Kingston (ER; Croupier; Moll Flanders), Hugh Bonneville (Notting Hill; Iris), Lindsay Duncan (Rome; Longford) and new Bond girl Gemma Arterton (St. Trinians; Quantum Of Solace).
Originally filmed in four parts, ABC will screen this in double doses at 8:30pm Sunday March 8 and 15 on ABC1….
Doctor gets new companion
Actress Lindsay Duncan will guest star in the second Doctor Who Special of 2009.
Duncan is known for her roles in stage and screen, including Rome, Shooting The Past and GBH and is soon to star as Margaret Thatcher in the highly anticipated BBC Two drama, Margaret. She will also be seen next month in ABC’s Lost in Austen as Lady Catherine de Bourgh.
