America paused to remember Michael Jackson, entertainer and humanitarian, today.

Family, friends, music and showbiz industry and fans gathered at the Staples Center, the venue in which Jackson was rehearsing his comeback concert.

The gold coffin of Jackson lay before the stage in front of his family.

At times it moved from Baptist Revival Concert, to pop concert, to civil rights rally….

Seven extends Jackson coverage

Networks continue to fall over themselves in the race to cover the Michael Jackson Memorial Service.

Details on programming are changing as the day progresses.

Amongst the latest details is word that Today Tonight reporter Clare Brady has scored one of the 17,500 tickets to the Memorial events in an online ballot.

Tomorrow night Seven News will screen extended one hour reports from 4:30pm and 6pm, with TT airing at 7pm. Thank God You’re Here season finale at 7.30pm.

Seven will also replay the Memorial from 12pm and commercial free from 7pm on 7HD followed …

Pay Television will also be remembering Michael Jackson tomorrow morning.

Sky News will screen Michael Jackson Remembered from 2am, with live coverage from Los Angeles as fans prepare for the memorial. It is followed by the live Michael Jackson Memorial Service from 3am to 5am (Wednesday).

Look for other channels including CNN and BBC to also provide major coverage of this extraordinary news event.

VH1 screens Michael Jackson’s Secret Childhood with never-never-before-seen home movies from 1:30 – 2:30am.
