Primetime Survivor on Nine’s summer
Primetime Survivor, the return of Cold Case, Flashpoint, Motorway Patrol, Wipeout, CSI: New York, the premiere of Crusoe and continuing ER, Getaway are some of the offerings in Nine’s first week of summer.
Nine will also repeat Rescue: Special Ops, David Attenborough’s Life in Cold Blood, Two and a Half Men, The Big Bang Theory, and will strip Australia’s Funniest Home Videos in a 7pm half hour version after watching the idea perform on GO!

Highway Patrol drives it home for Seven
Seven’s Highway Patrol had a huge debut last night, revving up to 1.7m viewers (or 1,699,000 to be specific).
The factual from Greenstone Pictures, makers of New Zealand’s Motorway Patrol which screens on Nine, is made in conjunction with Victoria Police Traffic Units. It was the #1 show of the night.
In Melbourne, following the Brownlow Medal Blue Carpet it pulled 637,000. But even in Sydney without AFL’s big night it was the top show on 390,000. Brisbane was 283,000, Adelaide and Perth 195,000 and 194,000 respectively.

Returning: Motorway Patrol. Gone: Til Death
New Zealand observational series Motorway Patrol rolls back onto screens next month in select cities.
Nine is dropping the comedy Til’ Death and returning the road patrol series at 8pm Friday September 4th in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.

Motorway Patrol’s (pictured) producers are coming to Australia for a new show, Highway Patrol.
Greenstone Pictures’ new series will focus on Victorian roads, filming traffic management units, regional traffic taskforce units and the road safety taskforce.
The producers have been eager to check out Greater Dandenong Traffic Management Unit’s crackdowns on local drivers in outer Eastern Melbourne, or more specifically, “hoons.”

Gone: Hole in the Wall, Wipeout, Motorway Patrol.
Fringe disappearing from Nine’s schedule wasn’t the only change within the programming department today.
It made switches to its Friday line-up from next week too.
Instead it’s bringing movies back to Friday nights, specifically, the Harry Potter series.
Harry Potter & the Philosopher’s Stone will air next Friday Oct 24 at 7:30pm. Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets airs a week later, Friday October 31st.
As a result a Friday edition of Wipeout and Hole in the Wall are out of schedule and plans to return Motorway Patrol are gone -thank goodness.
