ABC: 2010 Highlights
The ABC has announced some of it programming highlights for 2010.
It has revealed key dramas, comedies, documentary, sports, arts, current affairs and children’s entertainment.
Amongst the highlights are new comedy series Lowdown starring Adam Zwar, Poh’s Kitchen with MasterChef’s Poh Ling Yeow, Andrew Hansen’s debating series Strictly Speaking, Cal Wilson in Sleuth 101, a new comedy about a gay sci-fi club Outland, a new drama series by writer Marieke Hardy Like a Virgin, new Bed of Roses plus I ROCK and a telemovie about David Hicks, X-Ray.

Prank Patrol ABC3’s top show
An audience of 192,000 viewers watched ABC1’s Countdown To 3 live show on Friday as the PM was joined by Cassie Davis and Short Stack. It peaked at 222,000.
At 6pm 83,000 of them migrated across to the new channel to check out Prank Patrol. Whilst ABC hasn’t released a complete breakdown of figures for its first night, it claims it peaked at 91,000 later that night with a FTA share of 49% amongst its target 5-12 year olds.

Meet the faces of ABC3
Amberley Lobo, Kayne Tremills, Ben Crawley, Scotty Tweedie, Stephanie ‘Hex’ Bendixsen and Hannah Wang are the six lucky presenters who will become the faces of ABC3, the new ad-free children’s network.
The six were introduced to media last night by Kim Dalton, ABC TV’s Director of Television, who unveiled the new digital channel last night at the network’s Ripponlea studio.
Aged 19 – 24, they hail from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide & Perth and will adopt key roles in channel presenting, reporting and hosting after winning the coveted positions from more …
