Selling Houses Australia

Who doesn’t love a good home makeover?

There are shows that hitch them to the sick and impoverished, others that pit hot, young competing designers, and some that make it seem like an entire neighbourhood has found a heart of gold.

On The LifeStyle Channel’s Selling Houses Australia it’s no-fuss practicality: how can we fix ugly homes so that their owners can sell them for a decent price?

With such a simple premise it’s little wonder this show was voted Favourite Program by viewers at last year’s ASTRA Awards. It even defeated profile shows …

Apprentice films ‘Dallas-style’ twists

Channel Nine’s Apprentice Australia has filmed multiple endings with potential winners, leaving the show’s finalists guessing as to the outcome.

Like an idea straight out of Dallas’ famous “Who Shot JR?”, nobody knows who will win the reality series.

In fact even Mark Bouris may not yet know.

TV Tonight understands that Bouris could be watching for reactions from the public before making his decision on who lands a six-figure executive position.

Filming multiple endings is an unusual change of practice by FremantleMedia.

Other shows such as Project Runway Australia, The Biggest Loser and MasterChef Australia …

The Apprentice Australia

There are a couple of moments in The Apprentice Australia where businessman Mark Bouris buzzes his secretary in his foyer to tell her to send in his 12 candidates, all vying for the opportunity to be employed.

The young blonde lady looks up from her laptop on which she has been quietly tapping away and gives the waiting dozen the directive. Around the slick reception room everything looks fake. Behind her desk there are no drawers, cabinets, paperwork or anything remotely real. I’m not even convinced she’s even entering anything on her …

Sonia & Kristy, pretty in pink.

It’s like turning up to a party and somebody is wearing your frock.

Here’s a J’Aton dress worn by Sonia Kruger in the first episode of this year’s Dancing with the Stars.

And here’s a J’Aton dress worn by Kristy Hinze on last night’s episode of Project Runway Australia.

The only real difference was Sonia had a bit of a train and had used the Bedazzler (ok, maybe they were Mezi jewels) while Kristy had a shorter, hipper variation.

While Sonia got hers to air in …

Can The Apprentice shine in MasterChef’s shadow?

Nine will be hoping to tap into some of TEN’s reality television success as production gets underway on The Apprentice.

The series features Mark Bouris (pictured) as our very own Donald Trump, just without his trademark hairwave.

The series is produced by FremantleMedia Australia, the same company behind MasterChef Australia. Casting has been completed by Kirsty de Vallance at A Cast of Thousands.

De Vallance was also behind Nine and Fremantle’s other project The Farmer Wants a Wife plus World’s Strictest Parents, Project Runway Australia, The Biggest Loser and even some audience participants for …
