Grey Gardens
They were so eccentric they have been referenced across pop culture television and music. From Gilmore Girls, The L Word, Rugrats, Will & Grace, and Tales of the City to music from Rufus Wainwright to magazine shoots in Harper’s Bazaar. They have even spawned a stage play and a musical.
They were “Big Edie” and “Little Edie”, two New York socialites who were aunt and cousin to Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy Onassis. The mother and daughter lived in squalor in their ‘Grey Gardens’ mansion in The Hamptons, in upstate New York. Across the …

And which set it this?
Feast your eyes on the sparkly look of Three Rivers, the new medical drama from CBS, due to screen on TEN later this year.
Starring our very own Alex O’Loughlin and The L Word’s Katherine Moennig, the set for Three Rivers Regional Medical Center is so big they cut holes in the wall between Paramount stages 19 and 20 just to accommodate it.
It looks so sleek you could almost be forgiven for thinking it was straight out of Lie to Me or some sort of Newsroom. But this ultra mod room …

Showtime rejects Tim Robbins pilot
A drama pilot written and directed by Tim Robbins Possible Side Effects has been rejected by the Showtime channel.
The move comes despite the attachment of Ellen Burstyn, Josh Lucas and Tim Blake Nelson.
Commentators believe the drama, which is said to have tested very high, was at odds with Showtime’s parent company CBS. Possible Side Effects takes a scathing look at the pharmaceutical drug industry, focusing on a dysfunctional family behind a major drug concern. Pharmaceutical companies are among the top advertisers on CBS.
The rejection of the series is the fourth turned …

The Young and the Restless’ Tammin Sursok sure has come a long waysince Summer Bay.
But darned if American hosts can quite get their teeth around the pronounciation of her surname. Appearing on the US Today show to promote her new musical telemovie, Spectacular, she was almost introduced as Tammin “Sur-o-sok” with a rescue at the last minute.
The same host went on to describe her as ‘Canadian,’ again correcting herself thereafter.
And as a lead in the High School Musical-style film for Nickelodeon, she was also described as having had a hit album …
