Hey Hey it’s Dickie Knee

TV Tonight hears Hey Hey its Saturday duo Molly Meldrum and Dickie Knee are making a bit of a comeback.

Meldrum, John Blackman and ‘Dickie Knee’ have been fronting the cameras once more for a series of competition interstitials to run on Foxtel.

The 5 minute segments likely to run similarly to a viewer contest that TV1 hosted with Tony Barber and Alyce Platt.

Meldrum helped launch 111Hits for Foxtel, while Blackers is doing voice overs for the upcoming Pam Ann Show.

Australian comedian Caroline Reid, better known as Pam Ann, will launch her 8 part series The Pam Ann Show on Wednesday March 11 at 9.30pm on the Comedy Channel.

Reid’s 1960s-clad air hostess has been a regular on the international circuits including a major UK tour, sell-out shows in New York, a sell-out 25 date European Tour and a hit run at the Edinburgh Festival. She has also toured with Cher, crewed private jets for Elton John and entertained Madonna.

Foxtel rocks into 2009

Foxtel has joined the procession of new programme announcements, with a raft of Australian-produced and international shows, some of which launch as early as December.

The channels owned & operated by Foxtel include FOX8, FOX Classics, Arena, Comedy, Crime & Investigation, History, Biography and the W Channel.

The titles include 15 local productions, starting with An Aussie Goes Calypso in December and reality competition The Phone in January. Both will air on FOX8.
