Looks like that return of Monk will only be in the non football states. Normally footy unfortunately kicks out any quality programming on a Saturday night from 5:30-10:30pm every week throughout the season.
I am on season 8 as of this week, just finished watched season 6 and 7 over the past couple of months – so luckily Tens terrible programming decisions won’t affect me.

Monk is back on Ten as of Saturday (hooray!) . It’s a new episode but it looks like they’ve skipped ahead to Season 7. Season 6 wasn’t shown on FTA I don’t think. Season 5 was but only on Ten HD, so only something like 10% of the population was able to see it.

I just realised (While flicking through channels) that One Tree Hill is back on Saturdays at 3pm. Luckily it’s only the second week it’s been back. David, do you know if Ten actually plan on showing more than 3 episodes in a row before it’s dropped for some form of sport?

I recorded series 5 of Top Gear on BBC K late last year and it was 16×9, why can’t Nine/GO! get this copy? Having it in 4×3 makes it look cheap on the digital channel with is 16×9, especially with fans knowing it’s in wide screen else where.

I for one will not be watching TG on GO!, especially if it’s not 16×9, first it conflicts with other shows, 2nd I can watch them on BBC K and 3rd I have them recorded in 16×9 so I can watch them any time I choose.

For those fans waiting for Benidorm to air – it looks like its coming to UKTV either in April or May. The UKTV facebook page has a video posted on it which previews whats coming up in April/May, and its one of the titles it previews.

I wonder if that might make the 7TWO programmers wake-up and put it back on the schedule?

Similarly, also apparently on the way shortly is reality TV titles “Any Dream Will Do” and “I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!” – both ideas already tickle my fancy!

re: Top Gear in 4×3 on Thurs. That was all the BBC were able to supply in time for broadcast. From this Sunday onwards16×9 copies have been sourced.
