ABC2 eyes breakfast television

By David Knox on March 13, 2008 / Filed Under News 3

The ABC will launch a breakfast television program on ABC2 to appeal to a different audience than that of Sunrise and Today.

The breakfast TV news and current affairs program is planned to capitalise on the organisation’s extensive news resources, including placing cameras in ABC radio studios to allow broadcasting of key interviews.

“This is a major change for our news operation because it’s been geared around appointment viewing such as the 7pm news,” Mr Scott said. “Now the news will be available whenever you want it.”

Yesterday the ABC announced ABC Playback websites would trial online viewing and the broadcaster launched 60 local radio websites.

    Anti-establishment, anti-commercialism. Funded by government.

erm, being critical of government doesn’t make one anti-government, which as you said would be ironic.

On a musical note (forgive me) but we always found it amusing that JJJ was so left wing and anti-government but funded by government it was always a constant form of cackle worth irony.
