Gone: Ghost Whisperer. Returning: Bones. Bumped: Mistresses
More changes are coming to Seven’s Thursdays.
From Thu May 15, Ghost Whisperer is out of schedule, to be replaced with new episodes of Bones.
“The Girl in the Gator” will herald its return, first seen in the US in February 2007. Angry Lost fans must be gnashing their teeth over this meddling, screening at 10:30pm from next week.
And there are more changes to Tuesdays. Last night’s premiere of UK drama Mistresses had 678,000 viewers, down on a repeat of NCIS (1.2m) and Ladette to Lady (1m) so Seven will move it to 10:30pm from Tuesday May 13. It is replaced by Crimes That Shook the World.
Earlier today Seven bumped The Palace to 11:30pm from next Tuesday.
Seven also appears to have been underwhelmed by the 1.35m for the premiere of Australia’s Got Talent, judging by a repeat being slated for 4pm this Saturday afternoon. 1.3m wasn’t a bad result given the Big Brother competition.

Great news about Bones! I hope Seven keeps it on for a while.
Huh? I thought Ghost Whisperer was rating well??
Bones, meanwhile, tanked last time it went to air, did it not?
OH MY GOD! YESSSS. Bones is baaack.
I don’t get why Bones couldn’t be put on Tuesday, so Lost would get a better timeslot…I’m happy though.
I love Bones, and my mother is a Kathy Reichs fanatic. She will be most pleased.
I’m fairly hard to please when it comes to dramas, especially UK ones, but I thought Mistresses was pretty good! I stopped watching NSIC during it’s first season. We seriously need a better, more accurate ratings system in this country!
really good about bones!
but whats on before it?
if bones was on at 8.30 and then lost at 9.30 still..itll be good
but really, im just happy bones is back…
now just need las vegas!
Bones sucks. Angel is one of the best TV shows ever made, if not THE BEST,and then Boreanaz leaves it to go on to make yet another crappy procedural cop show. Oh well, his loss.
Also, Ch.7. has heaps of great new shows up its sleeve e.g. Eli Stone, Reaper. It also has other shows which their female viewers would lap up e.g. Private Practice, yet they are instead using perfectly decent 9:30pm timeslots to air crap doco shows like Crimes That Shook The World and Undress the Nation. Unless they’re saving them for later on in the year…
Procedural, Richo TB if you think it’s procedural you clearly have not have seen the show. And David did not leave Angel to go to Bones Angel got cancelled. He can hardly work on a show thats been cancelled and is lucky to get a 3nd show thats going into it’s 4th season,Buffy,Angel and BONES Fan.
Sorry RichoTB, I have to back up cugini_sandwich here… The procureal aspect of Bones is the back story to the intricate and incredible characters and character relationships that have been developed by Hart Hanson and his fellow writing team.
Bones is a fantastic show that has not been treated well by channel 7 - even though last time it screened, each episode had over 2 million viewers. Let’s hope this time around it gets the treatment it deserves, and maybe we can catch up to the US who are just about to finish season 3.
Welcome back Bones, you’ve been missed!
I suppose I’ll just have to watch Ghost Whisperer on the internet and then channel 7 will wonder why no-one’s watching it when they decide to bring it back (because we’ll already have seen it).
