WIN joins TV Tonight Guides

WIN Television has now joined with TV Tonight in providing readers with an Advance Guide.

As with other Guides offered on this site, the WIN Guides will be for the Victorian region.

It reflects growing traffic on this site from regional viewers, keen to see what’s coming up on their television. WIN viewers would have noticed an increase in WIN stories on TV Tonight for shows including Susie, Ellen and even Fishing Australia.

The first Guide, for the week of June 8, can be downloaded here.

Meanwhile WIN has also announced a new Head of Digital Media in Chris Williamson.

WIN Corporation Managing Director, David Butorac, is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Williamson to the newly created role, Head of Digital Media.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director of WIN Corporation, the Head of Digital Media will ensure WIN establishes a strong online and digital presence while taking advantage of new media platforms and technologies.

“As a part of WIN Corporation’s new direction I’m excited to welcome someone of Chris’ calibre and experience to the newly structured executive management team,” Mr Butorac said.

“Growth within the digital medium is paramount and Chris will spearhead our approach.”

Mr Williamson brings with him more than eighteen years experience encompassing both strategic and delivery management, and has spent the last decade working extensively in the digital and new media regime.

Mr Williamson has most recently worked with Technicolor Network Services as the Director of Business Development. Prior to that, Williamson was the CEO and Company Secretary of Digital Broadcasting Australia Limited. He has extensive Project Management and Systems Management experience and served as the Digital Strategy Group Manager for Free TV Australia for more than three years.

On accepting the position, Mr Williamson said, “I’m excited to be joining such a professional team of executives and looking forward to playing a key role in enhancing WIN’s digital media offering.”

The position is effective as of Monday, 2 June 2008.

  1. It will be interesting to see if they actually stick to the guide. The info in the Green Guide is often nothing like what they actually broadcast.
