TEN is returning new episodes of Futurama to our screens.
It returns at 7:30pm Thursday June 19, followed by a repeat episode at 8pm. The comedy will push Don’t Forget the Lyrics out of schedule.
“Bender’s Big Score” is part of a DVD film release in 2007 which Comedy Central split into 4 episodes, airing in March 2008 in the US. The second of these, “The Beast with a Billion Backs” is due for DVD release in the US later this month.
No word when, or if, Lyrics will return. Last time it aired it had 769,000 viewers -fourth in its timeslot.

I said you need to watch all four episodes IN SEQUENCE; not necessarily back-to-back. Thing is, Ten will be airing repeats straight after the new episodes…
i.e.
7.30pm Futurama (New)
8.00pm Futurama (Rpt)
…and I think a lot of viewers will be left confused as storylines in the current series carry over to subsequent episodes (almost like a soapie :P).
You don’t need to watch all four episodes in order to understand it, the whole idea was to split them up to act as the new season. They might have a recap when the next episode airs anyway, can’t see it going without one…
😐
OMG! WOW!
This is MUCH sooner than I expected.
You’d think that TEN would’ve at least waited for the second movie to come out before jumping into screening new eps seeing as that they only have 4 new episodes under their belt.
Plus, it’s incredibly stupid of TEN to be screening a repeat straight after the new Futurama episode seeing as that you need to watch all four parts in sequence in order to fully understand the story. :/
Idiots.
I’ve already bought and watched this on DVD but it’s a brilliant return and I’m glad that Channel 10 are giving viewers less avid than myself a chance to see it.
Yeah, that was a really funny movie. Don’t miss it.
Yay!!! This show rocks!
Benders big score is a classic and soooo happy that the show has returned.
