Survey: The Great Current Affairs Inventory

‘Mmmmm….. I think there’s something in that for all of us,’ Mike Moore once said on Frontline. And with that began a great unravelling of current affairs on Australian television.

Yet 14 years later some current affairs shows thrive while bastions like Sunday are chopped at the knees. All of which, the networks tell us, is because of what we, the audience, want.

But is this really the case? Are grocery comparisons, diet stories and network cross promotions really the best that can pass for public affairs in 2008? Are you interested in learning more about news that has made the day? And how do our interview and forum-driven shows compare?

TV Tonight is conducting a reader survey on all of these and more. You can have your say on the shows, presenters, style and credibility of Australian current affairs.

The survey, totalling 27 questions, takes about 8 minutes to complete (allow yourself quality time!).

Results will be posted mid-August.
