CPN (Cross Platform News) is a fictional news bulletin in the year 2012. And it features a reporter named Susan Shapiro who looks a lot like McLeod’s Daughter’s Rachael Carpani.

What you’re looking at is a fake, promotional clip for the Nine telemovie Scorched.

The producers have launched a secondary, multi-platform drama for the telemovie that features a fictional blogger, Cassie, and 20 webisodes, each two to three minutes long, that serve as a prequel and sequel to the futuristic story.

In Scorched, Sydney has had 240 days without rain and the city has only two weeks water left. The city is then ringed by severe bushfires.

Cassie Has Dreams is ninemsn’s first ever online-only drama.
