By David Knox on September 10, 2008 / Filed Under Pay TV 22

Greek (or even GRΣΣK) is coming to FOX8 from 8:30pm Thursday September 18.

The teen comedy / drama follows students of Cyprus-Rhodes University who partake in the school’s Greek system. Freshman Rusty Cartwright (Jacob Zachar) arrives at college and decides he no longer wants to be the boring geek from high school. He decides to pledge a fraternity.

The ABC Family drama has received good reviews for its portrayal of teenagers, including praise for depicting a gay fraternity member who struggles with the stereotyping and homophobia. It is created by Patrick Sean Smith who has previously written for Supernatural, Summerland and Everwood.

The series, loosely based on Miami University in Ohio, is now into its second season in the US.

However, he faces one small obstacle, his popular older sister, CASEY, who’s already deeply ensconced in her sorority.

This new series focus on college life and the social minefield that is the Greek system. Audiences will see this unique cast of characters navigate their way through this treacherous terrain as they try to find their place at Cypress Rhodes University

David do you know the reason for the late change?

“Krypto” is ep 20 of season 4 of Smallville and it’s unusual for PayTV to change things unless it’s live (or fasttracked) and out of their hands.

I saw the same advert as craig just last week. Had it set to record in my foxtel IQ and everything, so it definately was coming this friday. Since looking yesterday however, i’ve noticed that is has been removed yet again from scheduling.

    7:35:- Smallville

    9:30:- Fear Factor

So, not sure where you got your info from, but FNL is not starting this week, most likely, early October.

    Hey Alex,

THe remaining 12 eps are considered part of the 1st Season, but on some “websites” its classed as a separate series. The series currently airing in the US at the moment is the official 2nd season. Just thought i’d clarify :)

  15. Matt September 10, 2008 at 3:36 pm -

    Mitch,
FNL was not listed in the September Foxtel Magazine, all I know it is coming soon to Friday Night’s- I would put my money on the first Friday in October.

Yes! I love this show…. there was only 10 eps in the first season, btw…. i never bothered downloading the second season……. donno why its a great show! I hate paytv, why could it come to free to air! Not all can afford foxtel :(

  17. Dakota September 10, 2008 at 2:12 pm -

I’m slowly making my way through the 22eps of the 1st season of Greek, and its a fantastic show. Great dialogue, well rounded characters, and storylines that really suck you in. its a shame Fox8 took so long to get it lol. Either way glad we’re able to see it here on Australian TV… some of the actors in this show are brilliant.

Also Friday Night Lights is coming to Fox8 in October(I believe this has previously aired on 10HD).

  21. Craig September 10, 2008 at 8:05 am -
