Updated:  90210 dumped.

Channel TEN has revamped its summer schedule (again) moving How to Look Good Naked, Rules of Engagement and Don’t Forget the Lyrics, dumping an extra NCIS repeat, adding new Law & Order plus In Plain Sight.

In Plain Sight revolves around Mary Shannon (Mary McCormack), a Deputy United States Marshal attached to the Witness Protection Program. I so wish 90210 was still on the schedule *sigh* :(

So… NCIS last night was a “Season Finale”? Except… it wasn’t at all, and they’re still playing in the US through December. Is this right? Are they, heaven forbid, encouraging people to download the show instead?

  3. Neon Kitten November 25, 2008 at 9:15 pm -

Someone BBBA, Tyler: This season of Californication has 12 episodes, not 10.

  4. marymay November 25, 2008 at 11:38 am -

Out of the Blue was up almost 50% last night to 0.477, which is great considering the viewer numbers are about half at 10.30 from Prime time. Surely some new fresh Aussie drama deserves a go at a better slot – arent we all over American repeats !!

  5. Tyler November 25, 2008 at 10:28 am -

So they’re pulling both Supernatural & Californication when both only have 2 completed epsiodes left to air… What exactly is the point of “Seriously Fast-tracking” something, only to dump it the moment December 1st rolls around?

  6. Andy November 25, 2008 at 7:41 am -

Can’t ten go 3 months without airing School of Rock? To quote their tagline… Seriously! I’m sick of Mr Schneebly!

  7. Katrina November 25, 2008 at 1:27 am -

RichoTB, they’re starting where they left off with L&O. The new ADA Cutter, Jack as the boss etc.

  8. ryan November 25, 2008 at 12:47 am -

yay finally something good to watch on fridays!! new law and order eps!!! good to see ten has a good line up for summer!

  9. Someone BBBA November 25, 2008 at 12:24 am -

*sigh* – Still no Californication. It doesn’t make sense holding it off for two episodes.

Tom thanks for reminding me of my favorite beef with TEN ie Monk! It’s infuriating that they can’t play it out over the summer. Ah well I’ve long since resigned myself to buying the DVDS ..and you must be the only other person who remembers Dragnet! It actually started at the same time as Monk in either 2002 or 2003 as you say post footy season.

  11. David Knox November 24, 2008 at 11:16 pm -

Harry they actually did try something new. The audience rejected it.

  12. Rick November 24, 2008 at 11:08 pm -

I had the strongest feeling that TEN would be screening In Plain Sight in the next little while. TEN picked up Burn Notice and Monk. All of those programs air on the same network in the US.

  13. Harry November 24, 2008 at 11:06 pm -

I agree with no more Friends! Why not have something new on at 7.00? Try something new, not an old sitcom. I love sitcoms, especially Will & Grace but TEN, thats enough. Youve tried and failed, tried again and failed. Let it go.

  14. ali November 24, 2008 at 10:26 pm -

Plain Sight is really good once it gets going. Suited to summer scheduling though…:(

    No more Friends please!!!

  15. Nadine November 24, 2008 at 10:20 pm -

Glad to finally see In Plain Sight here. Hopefully Ten will keep it on throughout the summer and not yankn it off like they did with Psych and Burn Notice.

  16. Charlotte. November 24, 2008 at 9:53 pm -

Bobby – TV Week reports that the 4 episodes aired in the US will be shown followed by another 4 “world exclusive” episodes that weren’t aired in the US due to the show’s cancellation.

I’m happy with the summer schedule so far, especially the fact that Numb3rs is coming back in repeats and Bold is now at 6pm. Some good stuff.

  17. RichoTB November 24, 2008 at 9:49 pm -

Rules of Engagement twice a week! Thats great news. Good they’re dumping the NCIS repeat for In Plain Sight, although I thought Ten would want to save it for next year seeing as the only potential hit new show they have for next year is Life on Mars, and even that has been ailing in the US. As for L&O, I thought they still had 20 eps of season 17 which they never bothered to show. I guess they’re skipping them so they’re only 30 episodes behind instead of 50

  18. Andrew November 24, 2008 at 9:48 pm -

amazing that Ten must have access to a vast movie library and even though it’s non-ratings, but all they can offer is School Of Rock (again!) and Back To The Future II (again!)

  19. tom November 24, 2008 at 9:26 pm -

Back to the Future – What a shock to see that series back on over the summer.
Was really hoping for some poorly treated episodes of Monk to be aired over summer, they could have at least shown two episodes per summer non ratings like they usually do.

Will check out In Plain Sight, I have heard good reviews.

I dont get why they are showing new Law and Order at 9:30 after a Numbers repeat. Surely premier shows are better for 8:30pm? Sorry, 8:37pm to be realistic.

Why old eps of Rules of Engagement, when they didnt even finish Season 2?

I’m still waiting for the remainder of LA Dragnet with Ed’ ONeil and Ethan Embry to finish airing. It was first shown after football season in 2002 i think. Dont see that happening any time soon, he he.

  20. DanR November 24, 2008 at 8:20 pm -

Good news about the encore screening of Rush as I missed the first run …

But surely it’s time to go Friends and try something different at 7pm

  21. bobby November 24, 2008 at 8:13 pm -

how many episodes of the ex list will they show? anyone know by any chance?

  22. Simon November 24, 2008 at 8:03 pm -

Wow, do Ten read the comments on here or something.

On the last Summer Schedule I bemoaned the fact that they were showing Law & Order repeats on Fridays, now it says all new eps from season 18 ep 5 onwards, I’m floored (or is that flawed).

    Seriously that’s good news Ten.

  23. Zambora November 24, 2008 at 7:26 pm -

    thanks for heads up David.
Now lets see Ten’s non existent publicity dept go to work and whether the actually get message out to viewers.
Keeping track of programming has become a nightmare.

  24. Jellyman November 24, 2008 at 6:53 pm -

Don’t know how The Ex_List going to go against Fringe on Nine, I say i’ll watch Fringe and Tape Ex-List and see if i like it.

  25. David Knox November 24, 2008 at 6:48 pm -

No Peter they didn’t, or for Friends either. I’ve added them.

  26. Peter November 24, 2008 at 6:44 pm -

The Simpsons on Tuesday December 9 doesn’t indicate a repeat, surely Ten wouldn’t be burning off new episodes during non ratings???

  27. knoxoverstreet November 24, 2008 at 6:27 pm -

I remember reading about In Plain Sight awhile back..looks interesting and will def check it out.

  28. Ian November 24, 2008 at 6:27 pm -

Well done TEN! This is a bloody great series! Done by the same network that does Burn Notice! Something finally to watch on the TV in a programming summer of boredom!

Now, you want to make it two shows, get REgenesis!

  29. Sephiroth_FF November 24, 2008 at 6:21 pm -

Great to see In Plain Sight finally making it’s way here. There is so much to look forward to over the non-ratings period. I wish it was like this during the ratings period. I hope these new shows will be around for a while.
