Charli Delaney, have you knocked off Sonia Kruger?

The annual Christmas night Dancesport Championships this year won’t be hosted by Sonia Kruger.

Instead Charli Delaney, who appeared on both Battle of the Choirs and Dancing with the Stars, is co-hosting with Paul Green. Delaney is now the new face of dancesport on Seven.

Both will also present the World Latin Championships on Christmas night. That’s likely to ruffle a few feather boas amongst fans who look forward to Kruger’s unique style. While there are some who cringe at the odd Kruger, there are probably more who love her for it.

Both shows will air on Seven on December 25th, with the World Latin Championships at 8:30pm followed by the Australian Dancesport Championships at 10:40pm.

Kruger, meanwhile, has her own show coming, 10 Years Younger in 10 Days.

WORLD LATIN CHAMPIONSHIPS 2008
CHARLI DELANEY and PAUL GREEN host this Christmas night dance spectacular as 220 of the world best competitors – including the hottest dance professionals from Seven’s hit show, DANCING WITH THE STARS – sweep the floor to compete for the coveted World Latin title held in Melbourne.

AUSTRALIAN DANCESPORT CHAMPIONSHIPS 2008
CHARLI DELANEY and PAUL GREEN present the Tattersall’s Australian Dancesport Championship, which is considered one of the world’s grand slam dancing events. The winning local couple will be selected to represent Australia at the World Championships in 2009.

Kuttsywood, the Australia Dancesport Championships actually take place next week, it wont be aired until Christmas Night so it won’t be a problem if there is a hi-5 reunion!

Woo, Charli! Methinks Sonia’s Asian sweatshop remark had something to do with this.

Hmm, seems like choice out of left field.
I like it.Charli will add a bit more warmth than Sonia, although Sonia had dancing kudos but did grate and let’s face it how many stuff ups can she make.

What will happen to the final episode of The Amazing Race 13 given Christmas is on a Thursday this year? There are three episodes to go after this week and (assuming Seven airs one episode per week) it is scheduled to finish right on Christmas Day! Will the episode be shown on a different night, or will it be shown on December 18 (making it double episodes)?

Charli-good choice, but could be limited if 9 does decide on a Hi5 reunion at Melbourne’s Carols.
