Some interesting decisions. New Simpsons and Medium on a Friday night? House at 9pm instead of its traditional 8:30pm. An “encore” of Life on Mars. Fastracked Lie to Me.

But for a network that has been notorious for programming changes in the last few months it’s good to see it reveal its hand with confidence and clarity.

Can it stick to its guns once Nine and Seven reveal their plans?

Your thoughts?

  1. Steve B that schedule is from 2009 thus why The Simpsons and Neighbours are still on Ten and not 11. The Project had yet to debut on Ten that didn’t happen until July of 2009.

  2. Is this legit?
    What’s happening to the project?
Did get axed – And does this mean neighbours is coming back over from 11??

Will not be impressed if the project has been given the chop, it’s the best show on TV, funny and informative.

  3. @ R:
are you kidding supernatural and burn notice would be my 2 favourite shows. Also with supernatural halfway through the season if they dont start showong it again soon many people woukd just watch it online so its their fault if they lose veiwers

  4. Yeah um, no Supernatural??? Am I missing something?

Come on 10 theres 2 or 3 eps left! Why don’t you just not start a new series and finish an old one! Seriously! All my friends love Supernatural and I think if it doesn’t come back soon ch10 might get a visit from a bunch of teen fan-girls… Even at 10:30 would be better then nothing!!! Come on ch10, you suck!!!

  5. well i just saw an ad for house, 10 promise 12 new episodes in a row with no repeats padding it out. could it be that they are finally listening to viewers that repeats interupting a show is confusing to the audience and throws them off any on-going storylines? do i dare hope that 2009 will be different with 10 taking ownership of their mistakes of the past and promising to change their ways? is it possible that they may actually do what i suggested and advertise that with a new show (merlin in particular) they promise to leave it on for the whole season, without any gaps and in the same timeslot? because for any new shows to succeed on this channel they need to do this, it is essential, viewers have lost all trust for 10 and they need to do something drastic to restore it if they ever want another success story. do i dare raise my hopes for 10 based on this out of character ad?

  6. Am I missing something? *checks*

    *checks again*

Nope, the morons have definitely failed to include Supernatural. What the hell is the point in fastracking a series just to ditch it halfway through??? And with the boys coming out to Aus way to screw over the fanbase Ten.

And I still dream of the day a tv network will come into being that does not show any of this godawful ‘reality’ rubbish.

  7. Supernatural?!?!?! Where art thou?????

What a total farce, we’re half way through the season for goodness sake… put all of us Supernatural fans out of our misery and air the rest of them! Even a dodgy late night slot will do…… please please channel ten?!?!?!?

  8. Oh and Daivd any idea on why 10 yanked off In Plain Sight I’m loving that show but they just took it off without saying anything I didn’t think it was doing that bad? and any idea on when it would back and when Burn Notice will return?

  9. Argh I can’t stand OOTB I mean at first it started out ok and I did watch it but it is a soap after all and like a soap it just drags on.

I feel that it’s like the 08-09 version of Twin Peaks in the way that it goes on and on but we still don’t know who killed them. Granted I wasn’t around when it first aired I think I catched an ep of Twin Peaks ages ago when I had pay tv.

but I think that Twin Peaks was more of a cult-ish show than a stupid lil soap

  10. So many 1 hour specials of Biggest Loser, if its anything like last year its a lot of recapping of previous episodes, I wish I had tivo at times like that!!

  11. Bahaha. Good call George. So many saps crying on Channel Ten…it will be quite reminiscent of the network itself come the status reports of next year 😛

  12. I thought NBC airing Biggest Loser for 2 hours a week was overkill. Now i see that Ten has it on for 4 1/2 hours per week. As well as 4 hours of SYTYCD. That’s 8 1/2 hours of reality shows in a week. If that’s not overkill on reality shows, i don’t know what is.

  13. actually biggest loser ratings in 08 were up on 07. its the same as last yr anyway, they always had 2 shows during the week mon- fri with an hr ep, cause they have the walk on one of them and the challange on the other.

  14. Overkill much? The majority of the Biggest Loser episodes are an hour long, which is horrendously long for a show that airs 6 days a week on primetime where most of the footage is just rehashed from previous episodes anyway.

As I recall, Biggest Loser was declining in ratings last year due to excessive airings. Evidently Ten haven’t learned their lesson. :-/

  15. Certainly an interesting schedule. Dance should be a good lead in for Rove, since it generally attracts lots of viewers. Having Dance and Loser on at the same time might be a bit overloading with the amount of Reality TV, but the shows attract pretty different demographics.
