30 years on, Prisoner stars reunite.

prisoner1Ok you Prisoner fans, as you may have heard there is a “little” reunion happening this weekend to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the show.

Stars from the old Channel O (as it was known then) series will gather in the grounds of Global Studios, better known to viewers as Wentworth Detention Centre. Sadly, this is now a sold out event with lucky ticket holders flying in from across the world.

However, all is not lost if you want to hear from some of the cast members.

On Friday morning Val Lehman, Colette Mann and Amanda Muggleton will appear on 9AM with David and Kim. Both Lehman and Mann will be in studio while Muggleton will be seen in a live cross from Sydney.

Melbourne fans can also hear several of the cast in a one hour radio interview on ABC 774 tomorrow morning at 11am. Included in this chat will be Val Lehman, Colette Mann, Amanda Muggleton, Fiona Spence, Carol Burns and Jane Clifton.

For interstate fans you can listen in via the web, and it is likely to be added as a podcast later.

The actual anniversary of the first broadcast of Prisoner in 27th February.

Didn’t know bob had died but suspected he may have.

Perhaps Where Are They Now could do a show on acp.

Yep I went to that as well Andrew great night hey

@knoxoverstreet the only actors that were in acp that I know are sadly no longer with us are the late grate Gordon piper – bob Hatfield and the late grate syd heylen – cookie so it cold happen but I doubt it acp doesn’t have the same cult following that prisoner dose

I went to the 25th anniversary party which was also held at Global Studios, and had a good night – and the After-party Party with some of the show’s UK and Aus fans was also fun. But I couldn’t justify the $200 expense this time around for what is essentially a BBQ on the lawns.

I would love to see a reunion for long-time Australian Game Shows “Wheel Of Fortune” when it turns 30 in 2011 and “Sale Of The Century” when it turns 30 in 2010

A Country Practice would be great but sadly some of them have passed on. I know Cookie has not sure about the others

I am going to the reunion on Sunday and am really looking forward to it I have every single episode of prisoner on DVD most of which was taped from the last UKTV re run

Like Andrew and mia I would love to see another complete series run preferably on foxtel cause they would show the complete series uncut and in full but I think the rights may be to expensive due to some of the actors have to be paid royalties

I would really love to see a reunion for a country practice 30th in 2011

Would love to see a similar reunion for The Restless Years. I liked Prisoner but was never a huge fan like some.

I was too young to really remember Prisoner, so I would love to see it. Would be great if Channel 10 would screen it again.

Is anyone going to be showing re-runs of Prisoner, they were last in UK-TV years ago! And before that, on ch 10 3am or so (in the 90′s). Can’t afford the DVDs. I reckon it’d do better than alot of the stuff on TV at the moment.
