‘Dr. Michael Mancini’ joins Melrose remake

First Laura Leighton, now Thomas Calabro joins the soapie remake.

2thomasOk this is beginning to get serious…

Following on from Laura Leighton joining the Melrose Place remake, now it’s confirmed Thomas Calabro, ‘Dr. Michael Mancini’ is officially on board too.

Calabro was an original cast member as the sexy but often histrionic plastic surgeon. He returns as the same character and will be the father to ‘David Patterson’, played by Shaun Sipos. So far no word on how many episodes he is committed to.

During the later years of Melrose, Calabro added directing to his CV, so he may well have done a sweetener deal that affords him off screen work on the new look Melrose too.

Lisa Rinna, are you gettin’ this?

    I haven’t seen that final episode since it was shown on 10 about a decade ago so what I have said was based on memory.

  4. Courtney Thorne Smith has already indicated she does not want to be part of the new show. Heather Locklear would be awesome but I think she wants her usual asking price of $100,000 per ep. Not something that is likely in this economic climate

  5. I wonder if David Patterson is meant to be the son that Jane and Kyle had planned to raise as their own even though he is actually Michael’s. That however would not explain why David has different last name to Michael since Kyle’s last name is McBride.

    Even though Michael is not exactly a likeable character I found it irritating when that plot in the final episode of the original show of Jane deciding to conceal her son’s paternity from Michael was shown. Not even Michael deserved that kind of treatment of not knowing about his son.

    Hopefully this new version will rectify this.
