Paula Abdul has apparently been given an offer from Australian Idol, says US website RadarOnline.com.
Producers have put their request to strike a deal with her in writing, the site claims.
What isn’t clear is whether it’s a permanent offer, a guest appearance, or is open-ended (presumably it’s the latter).
If she was wanting that rumoured $10m from American Idol it would be fascinating to hear what was offered by Australian Idol. $25 in gaming chips and a night at the Sebel Townhouse?
Still, a guest appearance would be a win / win here and a great way for Abdul to step out of the US media spotlight, presuming she isn’t actually lured back to American Idol which is apparently also on the cards.

As a guest Aus Idol judge for a couple weeks – yes, if Ten can afford to fly her out and back first class and also pay the 6 figure appearance fee she’d also request
(I greatly doubt if the first figure of that fee would start with a 1).
id like to see her out here to guest judge for a week or two, love her or hate her, shes one of the reason that american idol became the phenomenon that it is!
