Waters of MarsAnd here it is….

The next instalment in the final stages of the Tenth Doctor….

TV Tonight is proud to reveal the time and date for the next Who special will be 7:30pm Sunday December 6th.

Mars, 2059. Bowie Base One. Last recorded message: Don’t drink the water. Don’ even touch it. Not one drop… all will be revealed in The Waters Of Mars.

The Doctor (David Tennant) is joined by Adelaide (Lindsay Duncan), his cleverest and strongest-minded companion yet, as they face terror on the Red Planet.

This special stars Australia’s Peter O’Brien (Underbelly, Neighbours, Flying Doctors) as Adelaide’s second-in-command at the base.

The episode is written by Phil Ford. It airs on the ABC just three weeks after its UK premiere.

  1. oh no looks like i missed out, i didnt hear anything about it. i should’ve checked the inter net more regularly, oh well looks like ill have to get it on dvd now :'(

  2. Thank god we’re not going to have to wait months and months like normal. Still December 6 feels so far off :P.

The Waters of Mars trailers look awesome, I’m just hoping the actual episode lives up to expectations.

  3. BTW I guess we do get to mars within the next 50 years then LOL

If the BBC send out a HD copy then I don’t see why ABC would not air it, even if it’s 720HD and not the full 1080.

    1. Thanks Matthew. Quote ABC Guide: “Production Details: A BBC production. Producer: Nikki Wilson; Executive Producer: Russell T Davies, Julie Gardner; Written by Phil Ford.” However I take the point ABC may have not been accurate.

Vinny: Previously we knew the week but not the airdate / time.

  4. i don’t think abc hd will actually show it in hd .A lot of the time the hd channel shows sd content.

I though the time and date that doctor who was showing was mentioned in the article about what the abc is showing in the next few months.?

  5. Not written by RTD!

    Might actually be good 😉

Well done, ABC, for the quick airing. Though the fans will already have seen it by that stage…
