Heartbeat is returning to screen via 7TWO.
The UK drama returns with 2005 episodes, “Auld Acquaintence” which, surprisingly, is first run for most viewers except Perth and Adelaide.
PC Rob Walker is surprised to find a stranger staying at Ashfordly Hall while Lord Ashfordly spend the winter in Bermuda. At the station, Blaketon and Peggy are at loggerheads once again when a festive conflict of interest results in a Santa showdown.
Last year the 1960s cop show shot episodes on the Gold Coast with actors Joe McFadden, Clare Wille and Lisa Kay, with Blair McDonough in a guest role.
There were reports the show would not be recommissioned by ITV but while this has been denied, no future has yet been clarified.
It returns 7:30pm Monday November 30th.

Fantastic news I’m a big fan. I hope it continues from where channel 7 cruelly cut it off last. I just Aunt Peg. We went to England last year and visited the village where it is set. 7TWO is great, who needs to pay for TV when you can get great viewing on free to air?
And Prime viewers are going to miss out! Grrr so angry
about time it returned, have been missing this quality show for a couple of years, now I will have a reason to watch TV again, hope it continues
Surely with the length of time this show has been on, we’re in the mid seventies by now?
What’s happening to Samantha Who?
They should start from the beginning again. It has been pushed out of the schedule so often, viewers don`t know where they are up to!
So much for Samantha Who?
