Airdate: Glenn Martin DDS, Archer

Two new comedies join FOX8’s Animation Domination lineup from Sunday March 7th.

Glenn Martin, DDS is a stop-motion animated series that follows the adventures of travelling dentist, Glenn Martin, and his dysfunctional family as they journey across the country in a Winnebago.

Along the way, Glenn discovers that hitting the road is more complicated than it sounds, and learns through various run-ins (with mobsters, the Amish, and psychotic navigators) that the road often hits back in unexpected ways.

The show features an all-star voice cast that includes Kevin Nealon (Weeds, Anger Management) as Glenn Martin, Catherine O’Hara (For Your Consideration, Chicken Little) as his wife, Jackie, and Judy Greer (27 Dresses, Arrested Development) as his daughter’s over-achieving assistant, Wendy.

Created by former Disney chief executive Michael Eisner, Glenn Martin, DDS debuted strongly when it launched in the US late last year and has recently been renewed for a second season. Nick at Nite initially imposed a laugh track on the show, but removed it by episode 8, because “it gave the show too much internal thinking.”

Also joining is Archer, a risqué spoof on the spy-thriller world following suave master spy Sterling Archer and his double-crossing cohorts.

The half-hour comedy is set at the International Secret Intelligence Service (ISIS), a spy agency where espionage and global crises are merely opportunities for its highly trained employees to confuse, undermine, betray and royally screw each other.

The voice cast includes H. Jon Benjamin as Sterling Archer, whose less-than-masculine code name is “Duchess”; Jessica Walter as his domineering mother and boss, Malory; Aisha Tyler as his ex-girlfriend, Agent Lana Kane; George Coe as his aging-but-loyal butler, Woodhouse; Chris Parnell as ISIS comptroller and Lana’s new love interest, Cyril Figgis; and Judy Greer as Malory’s lovesick secretary, Cheryl.

The series was created by Adam Reed, co-creator of Adult Swim’s Frisky Dingo and Sealab 2021. Since its launch in the US last month, Archer has already amassed a cult following due to its adult themes and sexual references.

From March 7th the new Animation Domination lineup is Futurama at 7.30pm, The Simpsons at 8.00pm, Glenn Martin, DDS at 8:30pm Family Guy at 9.00pm, American Dad at 9.30pm an Archer at 10pm.

FOX8 would do way better with The Cleveland Show and Archer instead of Glenn Martin DDS and Archer. Here’s the schedule: 7:30pm Futurama (PG) 8:00pm The simpsons (PG) 8:30pm The Cleveland show (M) 9:00pm Family Guy (M) 9:30pm American Dad (M) 10:00pm Archer (MA)

Noooo! King of the Hill’s out of the Animation Domination. Like we need more Simpsons anyway.
