Double up on Brothers and Sisters

By David Knox on February 13, 2010 / Filed Under Programming 18

Brothers and Sisters will soon be airing twice a week on Seven.

The US drama will air on both Mondays and Tuesdays at 9:30pm from February 23.

That’s a lot of sobbing, a lot of dinner parties and a lot of red wine for the Walkers…

Elsewhere, Seven has also advised NBC Today is out at 4am weekdays, to be replaced with Room for Improvement repeats and Dateline NBC repeats at 4:00 / 4:30 am respectively.

It looks like the move will continue throughout February, so it may well be an Olympics-affected move brought about by the US.

I’d assume NBC Today will off again during the Paralympics.

If seven actually cared about the cross-over eps they would never have shown the first half of PP last year! When will you all realise the networks just don’t care??!!

I love the Walkers, but I have enuff TV in my schedule. I too though GA would air for 5 weeks as doubles, so PP would then be on schedule with GA.
Ch7 you have never done doubles of B&S so why now?

The Today re-schedule is Olympics only. Seven do not own the rights to broadcast any Olympics in Australia so cannot run NBC Today, which will be filled with it as NBC America has the rights in the USA.

Well u would be wrong about that. If Brothers and Sisters continues until that time then it is actually 4 weeks away. I would expect Private Practice to return on March 23 as this is the episode it syncs with Greys.

Whatever happened to Private Practice? We only saw the mid-season finale and not the season finale. I thought that would have gone after Grey’s Anatomy.

I’ve been watching Private Practice by other means and there is a slight cross over between the two shows.

I’ve worked it out that if 7 is continuing with the double eps then we’ll see the gray’s ep in a fortnight and the return of Private Practice in maybe two weeks time if we’re lucky.

That’s a pity about NBC Today as I tape it daily and hope it’ll return, if the Olympics is the main reason. You can watch most of the show on their website.
They (NBC Today) won’t actually show footage from the events anyway. They’ll just interview athletes and do stories on Canada, while still covering the news.

Don’t they know that too much of a good thing can turn bad?

Sami, if they start playing Private Practice right away, it will give out major Major spoilers and this time they can’t stupidly cut out the spoilers, theres too many of them

@ Craig: you may be able to see the non-Olympic clips at NBC Today’s website: todayshow.com

Any chance 7TWO will stop showing AFL repeats every damn night?

‘m guessing Brothers & Sisters will fill the slot for 2 weeks until Grey’s is in sync with Private Practice again for the cross over.

Thankyou ch7 what a great decision. Two episodes of brothers and sisters a week. I love this season and it will be great to watch something on a tuesday night. Awesome.

I’d say NBC Today will be full on Winter Olympic and since Seven doesn’t have the right they can’t air them for the next 2 weeks.
