Negus in the war zone

By David Knox on February 1, 2010 / Filed Under News 4

Across his career for 60 Minutes and Dateline, George Negus has reported from any number of battlefronts and warzones.

But his latest cross to The 7PM Project in a rundown alleyway, complete with a boulder and the noisy exhaust of a passing VW looked like one of the most gruelling locations yet.

Welcome to Darwin, George.

Just talked to a friend who works at Channel 9. Apparently the alley is one of the only places in Darwin that they can get pictures out of. I guess that’s why he was there.
    I reckon it looked great.

Maybe there was a croc attack in Darwin that he had to report on.

I thought it was funny that on the promo during Neighbours when they said George Negus would be on they used footage of sports journalist Mike Gibson.
