Minute to Win Darren

Former MTV presenter Darren McMullen will host Seven’s new game show Minute to Win It.

The US-format will be filming episodes later this week in Sydney, as contestants complete 10 challenges in order to win cash prizes. Each game has a one-minute time limit and escalates in difficulty, with $1M as the ultimate prize.

“It will be done in a very Darren style: I’ll be pushing the boundaries as much as I can. Sure, they’ll try to rein me in, but part of the fun is seeing how cheeky I can be,” he told the Sunday Telegraph.

“I knew the show from living in the US. I love it, and I’m a cynical TV-watcher, so I can only imagine other people will like it too.”

McMullen, who has also hosted Commercial Breakdown for Nine, is also said to be in the running as a possible host for The X Factor.

i wonder if we can draw any conclusions from this into the X factor. maybe they have signed him for the X factor and are looking for his offseason job. or they didn’t sign him and gave this as a consolation prize. either way 7 will probably stay tight lipped in true 7 fashion re Xfactor host until the very last minute.
